Acumen Acquires West Yorkshire Based Chemwaste

Acumen Waste Services Ltd (Acumen), the national provider of waste management and industrial site services solutions has announced that it has acquired, for an undisclosed sum, the share capital, sites and associated assets of Chemwaste Ltd (Chemwaste), the West Yorkshire-based hazardous waste management and environmental services business, from Bradley Park Waste Management Ltd.

With Chemwaste providing complementary hazardous waste treatment and transfer capability, this transaction represents a further stage of Acumen’s bolt-on growth strategy, following on from the acquisition of Highspeed Ltd in 2017 and the establishment of hazardous liquid treatment capacity at Harewood Whin in 2018.

The acquisition sits alongside a number of recent high-profile contract wins for Acumen and further demonstrates its strategic approach to service development and business growth.
