British Cleaning Brand Secure 70% Sales Increase

Cleaning giant Astonish has seen significant growth, increasing sales to over £36m due to high demand for products both in the UK and internationally.

The Yorkshire-based firm has seen more than a 70% increase in sales, from £21m in 2019 to £36m in the last financial year. 2022 will see the biggest financial investment in the company’s history, with a spend of £25m invested in the brand’s products, facilities and workforce.

International trade amongst 25 exclusive global partners has been stronger than ever before, with Astonish’s exports increasing to 75% over the last six years in markets including Pakistan, Lithuania, Malta and India.

The brand has also increased sales and market share in Israel and East Asia across Korea and Taiwan while Greece has become the business’ fifth biggest export customer.

CEO of Astonish, Howard Moss commented: “We are always striving to be bigger and better and have ambitious growth plans for the business. Our latest significant investment will see us move to brand new purpose-built premises, tripling our size from 52,000 sq ft to 128,000 sq ft.”

“By investing in our brand we can increase productivity with new state of the art equipment, quadrupling sales both domestically and around the globe, while ensuring our products retain the high quality our customers have come to expect.”

Astonish is also focusing on product development, recently launching its revolutionary new environmentally friendly cleaning paste, The Good One. The New multi-use paste has been developed using 100% naturally derived ingredients and sold in infinitely recyclable metal packaging, so it’s good for the planet, as well as being vegan and cruelty free. The cleaning paste will be available to buy in metal containers, which is a first step to break boundaries and challenge the cleaning industry.

The brand has recently been honoured with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category, due to its incredible growth across international markets over the last few years.

The company manufacturers and ships goods all across the UK and some 30 markets globally, with over 60 products across their range.
