Brits' Top New Year's Resolutions For 2025 Revealed

As the year draws to a close, many of us will be looking ahead to 2025 and the resolutions we can make. And when it comes to Brits, adopting healthy habits and losing weight is top of the list.

A new survey from FruitySlots.com found that almost half of Brits (49%) plan to exercise more, while 47% want to eat healthier, and 40% are vowing to shed the pounds.

The survey of 2,000 Brits also found that almost a third (30%) want to get more sleep, while 39% will aim to drink more water.

It isn’t just physical health that Brits are hoping to work on, as many seem eager to improve their mental wellness with reduced screen time and more travel.

Over a quarter (27%) plan to spend more time with the family, while 30% hope to see more of the world, and 28% vow to read more books.

The survey also found that 25% want to cut down on their mobile phone usage and 1 in 5 respondents (21%) plan to reduce the amount of time spent on social media.

When it comes to resolutions people predict they’re most likely to break, losing weight tops the list as a challenge many feel they can’t stick to.

According to survey results, nearly a quarter (23%) of participants named weight loss as the resolution they’re most likely to break in 2025. Close behind, 22% admitted they’d struggle to stay consistent with exercising more.

In the realm of maintaining a balanced lifestyle, eating healthier emerged as another difficult resolution to uphold, with 21% of respondents predicting they wouldn’t stick with it.

Digital habits also posed challenges - 16% admitted they’d struggle to spend less time on their phones, while 15% felt reducing time on social media would be equally tricky.
