Love Letter In The Sand - Created By The Hands Of Blackpool

An interactive sand art installation has appeared on the iconic Blackpool Beach as a love letter to the moments we have missed during the pandemic. Leading hand hygiene brand, Carex is encouraging families and friends to get back together safely.

There have been many moments that we have missed over the last 18 months, from holding hands with grandparents, high fiving good friends, to travelling abroad, but leading hand hygiene brand, Carex wants to help families make the most of the summer and get back together safely.

Working with local sand artists, Sand In Your Eye, Carex hosted an interactive sand art experience, where families got involved and played their part in the creation of a giant piece of sand art on the iconic Blackpool beach.

The giant interactive sand art piece created on the 26th August, is a love letter to the moments we have missed during the pandemic. Visitors and residents of Blackpool, young and old got involved by drawing pictures and messages in the sand to loved ones. A whole host of drawings and messages were left in the sand for their nearest and dearest, resulting in a beautiful piece of artwork, created by the hands of Blackpool.

Megan Harrison, UK Marketing Director, PZ Cussons from Carex explains more about the thinking behind the sand art installation;
“With many people opting to stay closer to home for their summer holidays, we wanted to champion the great British stay-cation as well as an iconic location, which is why we chose Blackpool for our sand art experience.” Megan continues, “Everyone has missed something over the last 18 months, so we want to encourage friends and families to get back together safely, by carrying a pocket sanitiser on the go, no matter where you are.”.

Visitors to the sand art installation were also able to get their sandy hands on complimentary Carex, to help keep them protected on the go. The final piece of art will be shared to Carex’s social media so that those that took part in the sand art can share their messages far and wide with their loved ones. Carex is providing families the confidence to be out and about as the UK’s number one hand sanitiser brand.
