Shany Hagan is a single mum and spends her time painting and donating her art to different charities, so far raising over £250k for some 30 charities. She paints for the NHS, celebrities and their charities, film covers and Royal commissions.

A couple of years ago Shany underwent eye surgery which restored her vision through a miracle operation and so she wanted to give something back and started painting soon afterwards. Her art has been recognised by lots of celebrities and Shany believes her sight being restored, enabling her to paint, has been for a reason and so uses her artistic skills to help people.

Shany was commissioned a year ago by the niece of the owners of the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team in America to do a painting of the whole team. It was all kept very secretive so the owners didn’t find out.

The design work was a long time in the making. She had to paint all the owners family and presenters and all the bosses on the left, whilst on the right was all their top players and family dogs. She had to paint the stadium along with crowd and famous Milwaukee brewers slide. All the Mascots also had to be included.

Because the owners love the Beatles she designed the painting with a Sargent Pepper theme.

The finished painting was presented to Mark and Debbie Attanasio, the delighted owners of the Milwaukee Brewers at the Stadium last week. Shany commented: "I wish I could have been at the presentation."

Shany has now decided to approach lots more baseball teams in the USA.

Since finishing the Milwaukee Brewers painting Shany has been approached by RAF Scampton, the home of the Red Arrows, who have commissioned her to paint the Last Dinner, to include some of the iconic aircraft that have been based at RAF Scampton over the years and during the Battle of Britain. When the painting is finished it will be auctioned off with the money raised going to a military charity.
