Guests can cook the fish they have caught over the open fire, sing songs beyond the earshot of others, and just cherish each other’s company while soaking up the peaceful atmosphere.

Indoors couples can snuggle up in front of the coal burning stove. The former village hall is 5 minutes’ walk away and is available for cottage guests to use. It has a table tennis table, a dart board, some books and games and access to the internet.

Eilean Shona comes with enchanted moss-covered woods, wild open hills, and a beautiful white sandy beach on the south western tip of the island.

Visitors can walk for hours without seeing another person. It abounds with wildlife: an array of seabirds, deer, seals, families of otters, nesting sea eagles, red squirrels and rare pine marten.
