A phone app launched to promote good places to walk and connect with UK green space is taking on a new role this Halloween……advising wreckless ramblers where to find the country’s creepiest ghost walks!

www.gojauntly.com has identified 30 spine-tingling walks guaranteed to have you looking over your shoulder for ghosts and ghouls.

The app, which has photo led routes, helps users find walks tailored to their location and personal mobility needs.

Now the technology is being used to identify spine chilling walks ahead of Halloween on October 31st.

All of them can be found on the app which lists the walks by region including:

London
Midlands & East Anglia
North
South
Scotland
Wales

For those looking for a scare-fest with a difference, dare you enter the cave of villainous Twm Sion Cati? Only the bravest know what lies hidden in London’s Crossbones Yard cemetery, while there are the secrets of the ancient tombs in Nunhead to be discovered!

These are just three of the hair-raising Halloween walks on the app, which explore some of the UK most notorious locations.

The new collection of ‘spell-binding’ walks covers all areas of the UK from Scotland down to the South coast, all of which are perfect for a more ‘socially-distant’ spooky Halloween.

Go Jauntly co-founder Hana Sutch said: “With Halloween looking very different this year, a haunt-jaunt is the perfect opportunity to discover the lore lurking behind our local areas.

“Being outdoors is also so important for our bodies and minds when we’re all spending so much time inside. Not to mention, the spookier the walk, the faster you might find yourself going!”

The App can be downloaded by smartphone users via App Store or Google Play. More information about the app can be found at www.gojauntly.com
