TV Triumph Signals Beginning of New ‘Lake District’ Partnership

Bespoke fitted furniture manufacturer, Daval of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, has partnered with interior designer and architect Lynsey Ford - winner of BBC Two’s hit programme Interior Design Masters - to create a luxury family suite at a leading Lake District hotel.

Slaithwaite based interior designer and architect Lynsey was chosen to transform the suite – named Willow Cottage - at Another Place hotel as her prize for winning the programme, hosted by comedian Alan Carr, in March this year.

Talking about the project, Lynsey said: “Sourcing and procuring materials for my projects locally wherever possible, is really important to me. Daval is based in the same village as me, so they were my first port of call for working up the cabinetry designs for the suite at Another Place.

“As it is a family suite in a Lake District hotel, I am working with Daval to create a boot room as part of the design where guests can kick off muddy shoes and wellies after a day out walking.

“There will also be a small kitchen and bar area with a sink, fridge and antique glass-backed shelving for enjoying pre-dinner drinks in the room, plus two bedrooms with integrated wardrobe and desk spaces designed and fitted by Daval.”

Willow Cottage is available to book from April 2022. Details: https://another.place/
