Another weekend of football is in the bag and what a special one it has been for Leeds United fans. Facing Cardiff City at Elland Road, The Whites had no mercy and scored seven goals against the Welsh side. Brenden Aaronson got the first one in the sixth minute, giving Leeds an early start to what was carnage in West Yorkshire. Solomon followed in the 13th minute and Daniel James made it 3-0 in the 50th minute. Just 15 minutes later, Joel Piroe converted a penalty and another two minutes after, Gnonto placed the ball in the bottom right corner. Youngster Mateo Joseph came off the bench to score to make it six, before Piroe completed the scoring in injury time to make it 7-0!

Sheffield Wednesday played Luton at home and took one point from the clash. The guests scored first in the 31st minute, but Michael Smith equalised for Wednesday in the 60th minute from the penalty spot, making it 1-1.

Hull City opened the scoring versus Stoke City but were not able to hold on to the advantage. Al Hamadi equalised just before half-time, and Andrew Moran gave Stoke the lead in the 74th minute, sealing a 2-1 victory for The Potters.

Sheffield United took on a strong Derby side away from home, but did just enough to win the game 1-0. Brereton-Diaz scored the only goal of the game in the 49th minute to secure three points for The Blades.
Huddersfield Town couldn’t put a stop to their three consecutive matches without a victory as they lost 3-2 away to Northampton Town. The hosts led the game 3-0 for the most part, but Terriers’ Herbie Kane got one back in the 70th minute. Captain Jonathan Hogg gave fans some hope with just under 10 minutes to play when he scored Huddersfield’s second goal, but they failed to find another.

Barnsley are in the same situation as Huddersfield Town, with no victory in their past four games. On Saturday, The Tykes drew 0-0 at home to Burton Albion.

Rotherham United played away in the West Midlands against Birmingham City. Sam Nombe got the first goal of the game for Rotherham, but the hosts quickly came back in the 54th minute through Jay Stansfield, before the same player won Birmingham the game in the 81st minute from the penalty spot, making it 2-1.

Back in Yorkshire, Harrogate Town drew 1-1 with Crewe Alexandra. Josh March put The Sulphurites in the lead in the 29th minute, but Chris Long got Crewe back in the game with a second half strike.
Doncaster Rovers welcomed MK Dons to the Eco-Power Stadium, where they grabbed all three points. Ironside opened the scoring for Doncaster midway through the first half, with MK Dons equalising after the break. Robert Street scored the decisive goal in the 73rd minute, winning the game 2-1 for Doncaster Rovers.

Away at Wimbledon, Bradford City enjoyed time with the ball at their feet but were not successful in putting it in the net. The game was decided early in the first half, when Wimbledon’s James Tilley scored. That was the only goal of the game, which sees Bradford drop to 7th place in their race for promotion to League One.

In the National League, Halifax Town beat Ebbsfleet United 2-0. Luca Thomas scored the first goal for the Yorkshire side and Jamie Cooke secured the three points in the 69th minute, with a shot from the centre of the box.
