Wilderness Ireland And No Quarantine!

Join a new small group walking tour to Northern Ireland’s Mourne Mountains and Causeway Coast, with a departure on October 10th.

On this new trip, guests will visit both Northern Ireland’s Mourne Mountains and sweep down to the Causeway Coast, enjoying challenging hill walks, coastal hikes, wildlife spotting and more than a touch of Irish folklore.

The holiday begins in the Mournes, a rugged mountain range south of Belfast. Riddled with old smugglers’ routes and topped with dramatic granite tors, the Mournes provide an enigmatic backdrop for two days’ hiking, including following the Mourne Wall – a 22-mile dry-stone wall that traverses the whole range.

Transferring north to the dramatic Causeway Coast, guests will next hike part of the Causeway Coast Way past isolated coves and tumbledown farms and spot locations from the Games of Thrones and landscapes that inspired C S Lewis’ Narnia.

The following day, the group sails to Rathlin Island, once the hideaway of Robert the Bruce, but today an intriguing island where puffins flit between towering sea stacks. Back on the mainland, the final full day is spent hiking along the coast to the world-famous Giant’s Causeway.

Price: from €1,395pp sharing, including 5 nights’ B&B accommodation, daily lunches, 1 dinner, guiding and transfers with Wilderness Ireland (+353 (0)91 457 898, wildernessireland.com). Depart 10 October 2020, 15 May or 26 June 2021.
