York Boating Experience Resumes Today
City Cruises York re-opens its sightseeing sailings along the River Ouse today following months of aborted journeys due to lockdown.
The company’s dining experiences are expected to follow on May 20th.
Social distancing measures will remain in place, following the company’s significant review of passenger capacities and the customer journey from ticket purchase to boarding and disembarking.
Kyle Haughton, Managing Director of City Cruises, commented; “We are looking forward to welcoming our passengers back on-board following time apart during England’s latest lockdown. Passenger and staff safety remains our number one priority. Social distancing measures will remain in place to allow customers to enjoy a different view of York in an environment they feel confident in.”
Social distancing will remain in operation on all experiences. City Cruises has enabled this by reducing the number of passengers admitted on each sailing. Whilst on board, signs will indicate that some seats are not available to sit on to help keep to the two-metre rule between passengers. In addition to the high standard of cleanliness that City Cruises keeps on its boats, the operator has implemented extra measures to make them Covid-secure.
Priced from £11.95 per adult aged 16+ and £6.75 per child. Tickets for children under five are free.
