Yorkshire Motorsport Festival 2022

The north’s most spectacular motorsport weekend event is back and will take place from 24th to 26th June. Festival venues don’t get much more scenic than this, being situated right in the heart of glorious West Yorkshire.

So, it’s back to the 125-acre rural farmland site on the outskirts of Meltham, Holmfirth, situated on the northernmost fringes of the Peak District National Park.

With stunning views over the Holme Valley, and with the Wolfstone Hill Climb start and finishing line marking its southern boundary, this is a Yorkshire festival through and through. Less than an hour’s drive from Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield, the site is easily accessible thanks to the proximity to the M62 and national rail services.

The Wolfstone Hill Climb, which runs just short of a mile, is the centrepiece of the festival. Hill climbing is one of the oldest forms of motorsport in the UK, for which Yorkshire has a proud and established heritage with Holme Moss hosting races of this type over 100 years ago.

This was celebrated at the festival opening in 2021 and this year, 3 famous local cars will open the Hill Climb course on Friday and Saturday morning. In all, 75 cars will compete over three days of spectacular fun.

There is much more to the event though, with fun for all the family guaranteed. There will be a funfair and various attractions for children, whilst trade stands, truck displays, cheerleaders and live music will keep everyone amused, late into the night.

A large array of artisan food and drink sellers will ensure everyone is well fed and watered and if you fancy making a weekend of it, there are camping facilities on site.

There are bespoke hospitality packages available should you wish to entertain friends and business associates, but these are selling out fast.

Also on site will be an exclusive shopping village, where local retailers will display their wares. So, something for everyone.

However, let us not forget that this is a car event so on display will be an exciting collection of cars and vehicles from across the decades.

Aston Martin will be represented by their Owners Club, who promise over 20 interesting cars will be in attendance.

A display of Nascar trucks is sure to catch the eye and supercars from McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and Bentley will no doubt delight.

And back for 2022 will be a fantastic line up of stock cars. They were a major attraction in 2021 and there will be a large static display.
