Brand New Western Lakes Luxury Lodge Park Development Opens

A new all year round lodge park on the western fringe of the Lake District National Park has opened.
Meadows Retreat located on the A595 at Moota, just five miles north of Cockermouth has 50 spacious plots many of which boast stunning views of Skiddaw.

The family owned business, who also operate the nearby Forest Views Caravan Park have developed the site with great sympathy for its surroundings and have been mindful of ensuring there are holiday homes and residential specification lodges for a range of budgets.

Director, Danny Hoey said:
“We are delighted with the interest in Meadows Retreat so far, and 28 plots have already been sold. The site is around three and a half acres and we have ensured all the plots are spacious, so it will be a case of when they are gone, they are gone. We are open all year round too which is very appealing as it gives purchasers the opportunity to stay in their holiday home for a short break or an extended period.”

The lodges, all of which are surrounded by landscaped gardens and ample private parking are extremely generous in size, and built to residential specification, so the accommodation can be enjoyed in all seasons. There is plenty of space for bespoke decking and a luxurious hot tub, and unlike many developments this doesn’t come at the cost of losing lots of garden space.

New lodge owner Marc Hillcote who lives in Carlisle said:

Another distinctive feature of the development are the investment opportunities a holiday home can give. Meadows Retreat permit subletting with no fees payable to the park, meaning that owners can generate a healthy income from their investment as and when they choose.

“Depending on the specific holiday home, owners can expect to generate lettings of between £99 and £180 a night which is a great return on their investment. They can manage this themselves or we can offer a
competitive management letting service.
