Sheffield’s F4 driver, Rowan Campbell-Pilling, made a successful return to Silverstone as he picked up another trophy in this year’s championship. The Rokit British F4 certified by the FIA season continued for its ninth, and penultimate, round at Silverstone last weekend. Rookie Rowan’s last round at Silverstone, in June, saw him leave on a high with a first place Rookie Podium.

On a record-breaking super Sunday in Paris 2024, Great Britain enjoyed their most successful day at a Paralympic Games this century with twelve gold medals. The medal run began in the morning with Benjamin Pritchard at the rowing lake and ending in the pool with victory in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay S14. The previous record of 9 was reached in both Rio and Beijing.

17-year-old racing driver Rowan Campbell-Pilling, from Sheffield, is a rising star of British Motorsport and he aims to compete at the pinnacle of racing. He is a part of the Motorsport UK Academy and drives for the Argenti team. Rowan has recently made his much-awaited debut in British Formula 4 single seaters. This is seen as the first step of the ladder towards Formula 1. Rowan joins the British F4 grid off the back of a successful karting career. Competing in both the Daniel Ricciardo Series (DRS) and iame x30 classes, He was crowned champion in 2021 in DRS and won more titles across the iame x30 championships, in junior classes. In senior karting, he took wins in both categories before moving on to his debut year in single seaters. We caught up with him at Donington.

Redcar boxer Tom Hill is celebrating winning his first title as he beat Tyneside’s Ewan Mackenzie by stoppage in the seventh of ten scheduled rounds to secure the Northern Area welterweight belt. "I’d had almost two years out of the ring and then won a fight on a local show in April, after which I got the call proposing the title bout.

There were three more medals for Team GB on Day 12 of Paris 2024, as Team GB’s track cyclists picked up silver and bronze and Matt Hudson-Smith took silver. It was also a productive day for Team GB’s divers and climbers, with more finals to come this week.

There were two more golds for Team GB on Day Ten of the Paris 2024 Olympics as track cycling got off to a flying start and Keely Hodgkinson won Olympic gold. There were also two medals in the kayak cross and a bronze in the mixed relay triathlon.

France's Cassandre Beaugrand won a historic gold in a thrilling Paris 2024 women's individual triathlon on 31 July at Alexandre III Pontoon in the centre of Paris. Switzerland's Julie Derron dug deep to win silver with Great Britain's Beth Potter taking bronze. Beaugrand, the world number one, broke away on the final lap to become the first French athlete to win an Olympic medal in the event.

Japan’s Yuto Horigome, who almost didn’t qualify for the Paris Games at all after a mid- qualifier slump, staged the comeback of his life to retain the title of Olympic gold medallist in a Best Trick shootout that pulsated with energy and thrills under azure skies and soaring French temperatures.
