Hilton Lake Como Promises Foodie Heaven

Gourmet Getaways have been put on the menu by the Hilton Lake Como in Italy.

From candlelight concerts and a regional street food pop-up showcasing the very best of Italian cuisine to poolside gelato and a new experimental cocktail menu at signature restaurant bar Terrazza 241, the lakeside paradise is the ultimate choice for a gourmet getaway this season.

‘Best of Italy’ Regional Street Food Showcase
From July to October 2023, guests of Hilton Lake Como will have the opportunity to journey through the Italian regions without leaving the dinner table, with a brand-new pop-up street food bar featuring iconic dishes from up and down the country.

Diners can savour raviolini from Sicily, taste the cuisine of Calabria with maccheroncini and eat like the Emilianis with taglieri misti from Emilia Romagna.

No Italian street food offering would be complete without pizza and lovers of the Neapolitan speciality will be spoilt for choice, with a range of delectable pies complete with every topping imaginable, available fresh from the wood-fired oven.

A New Experimental Cocktail Menu for Terrazza 241
This summer, lead bartender Ludmilla Samohin and her talented team of mixologists will shake things up with a brand-new cocktail menu designed to stimulate all five senses at the hotel’s signature rooftop bar and restaurant, Terrazza 241.

A partnership with iconic perfumier Acqua del Lario sees experimental additions which invite the drinker to sense, sip and repeat.

These include Nova, which fuses Bombay gin with star anise, green tea, lime and bergamot italicus rosolio, scented with mountain pine to evoke the verdant greenery that blankets the region, and Ego, a blend of vodka, rosé, raspberry and strawberry which celebrates the iconic Como rose.

Alcohol-free drinkers are also superbly catered to with a new Cocktail Zero menu, which offers a tantalising selection of virgin tipples, while a Spritz menu – featuring four unique takes on the iconic aperitivo – celebrates regional flavours and ingredients.

Those in search of a true showstopper will adore the Smoked Negroni, which is served in a bell jar filled with the grounding scent of smoked thyme, and Blue Jeans, a mixture of coffee-infused Campari, fennel martini and orange bitters served in a funky denim-covered glass.

With a sprawling rooftop terrace offering the best view of the lake in Como, Terrazza 241 is the perfect spot for guests to sip an aperitivo and dine al-fresco as they watch the world float by.

Formerly a silk factory, Hilton Lake Como is now a new-generation hotel with spectacular scenery, traditional charm, and jaw-dropping 360-degree views of the lake from its rooftop pool.

There are 170 spacious rooms and suites to choose from, including Family Deluxe King Rooms, which sleep up to four and perfectly cater to family travellers alongside new interconnecting rooms, a pampering spa and a popular rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant.

Nightly rates at Hilton Lake Como begin at 350 Euro per night based on double occupancy with breakfast included. Details: www.hilton.com
