The King’s Arms, Hawkshead, has been named the best pub in Cumbria at the prestigious National Pub & Bar Awards 2026, cementing its reputation as one of the Lake District’s leading hospitality destinations. The award recognises excellence in service, atmosphere, food and drink offering, and overall guest experience.
The historic Hawkshead venue was selected as Cumbria’s county winner from a shortlist that included some of the region’s most celebrated pubs, earning recognition on a national stage alongside the UK’s finest hospitality operators.
The National Pub & Bar Awards, organised by Pub & Bar magazine, celebrate the very best venues across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with winners judged on factors including design, service, style of offer, marketing and investment.
