It’s a double celebration for the team at a Hunmanby whisky distillery which has been shortlisted in the Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards and has a product in the final of the 22nd annual Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards.
The Pot Still Coffee Shop at Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery has reached the final of the Café of the Year category at the Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards and its Cream Liqueur has been shortlisted in the Best Wine and Spirit category of the Taste Awards, which are regarded as the largest food and drink awards programme in the region.
“We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for not one, but two awards,” said Spirit of Yorkshire marketing director, Jenni Ashwood.
“Both are prestigious awards programmes which recognise and reward the best of Yorkshire’s tourism attractions and food and drink producers respectively. We’re honoured to be included in both shortlists and look forward to the finals next month.”
The other finalists in the Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards are Goose Beck Vineyard; Rhucello Ltd.; Whitby Distillery and Wicstun Distillery, and they face competition from Birdhouse Tea Bar & Kitchen; Empire Café; Kofi&Co Ltd; Swinton Bivouac Café and The Riverfront Cafe Bar in the Yorkshire Post awards.
Winners of the Taste awards will be announced at a dinner at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Tuesday, 3rd November. Winners of the Yorkshire Post Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony and gala dinner in Leeds on 30th November.
Home to Filey Bay single malt whisky, Spirit of Yorkshire is a true field-to-bottle distillery and one of only a few distilleries that use 100% homegrown barley to produce its single estate whisky. It was named one of the top 50 spirits producers in the world by the IWSC in 2025.
