Top Ten Summer Cocktails: No 4 Pimms Cup

Continuing our Top Ten Summer Cocktails feature in readiness for Freedom Day and that celebratory cocktail, we reveal No 4 in our list.

Joseph Miller, top Mixologist at Blackfriars in Newcastle, and voted second best in the world by Brockmans Gin, has been revealing his Top 10 cocktails for this summer in readiness for the Great Northern Food and Drink Festival.

“These are the top most popular cocktails which we will be serving for the summer, as well as an extensive menu, but these epitomise summer in a glass,” explains Joseph.

4. PIMM’S CUP

This is historically a summer cocktail and widely advertised as such, with sporting events such as Wimbledon really getting behind this cocktail.

Lemonade
50ml Pimm’s
Chopped strawberries, cucumber, oranges and mint

Add all ingredients together in a tall glass with ice. This is one of the best cocktails to batch up for parties and can be stored in a Kilner dispenser for quick service too.

The Great Northern Food & Drink Festival takes place at Scampston Hall near Malton, North Yorkshire on 28th, 29th and 30th August.

There will be over 200 vendors and 20,000 visitors expected during the course of the three days.
