Unlock Two Of Italy’s Best Kept ‘Private Retreat’ Secrets

Craft the perfect escape this summer by immersing yourself in ‘privacy’ at Villa Ardore and Palazzo Santa Croce, as part of a two-stop Journey into authentic Italy.

Among the rolling hills of Tuscany and the dramatic coastline of the Amalfi Coast, both destinations promise a deeply immersive Italian journey, where luxury and authenticity intertwine seamlessly.

First Stop - Villa Ardore
Nestled in the heart of the Chianti wine region, Villa Ardore is a 16th-century Tuscan farmhouse that blends timeless beauty with modern luxury.

Meticulously restored by Christian Scali and Stephen Lewis, two LA-based professionals, Villa Ardore offers an exclusive, authentic Tuscan retreat that embraces both its historic roots and contemporary comforts.

The villa features eight elegantly designed bedrooms, each offering panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and rolling hills, creating a sanctuary that feels like home.

With bespoke amenities such as a Roman-inspired spa, heated infinity pool, and fully stocked wine cellar, every detail of the property is tailored to ensure an unforgettable stay.

A culinary journey awaits guests with a private chef preparing meals using fresh, seasonal produce from the villa's gardens, alongside exclusive wine tastings from local producers.

For those seeking adventure, the villa offers immersive experiences such as artisanal workshops, pottery, papermaking, ceramic painting and even jewellery making.

Besides, the region offers historical towns, thrilling outdoor activities like hot air balloon rides and horse-riding tours.

Second Stop - A Historic Baroque Palace
Palazzo Santa Croce is a beautifully restored 17th-century Baroque villa of Il San Pietro Positano, tucked into the hills above Positano, offering show-stopping views of the Amalfi Coast and an authentic, luxurious Italian experience.

Ideally located near the town centre to enjoy the shops, restaurants and services that the “pearl of the Amalfi coast” offers, this villa and former bishop’s residence, exudes historical charm, showcasing original frescoes, antique furnishings, and grand architectural details that reflect its rich past.

With a strikingly rich red stucco facade and grand terraces the impressive property features five elegant bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, accommodating up to nine guests.

Two opulent suites on the upper floor are adorned with painted ceilings and frescoed walls, while two more relaxed double rooms on the attic floor offer a softer cozy style.

The villa’s grand staircase, with its colourful stucco decorations, statues and vases tucked into niches, is a central element running through the villa connecting the living spaces and leading out to the lush gardens.

The crown jewel is the villa’s wellness area, inspired by ancient Roman baths, which includes an indoor pool with hydromassage jets, a sauna, Turkish bath, and a panoramic terrace with a sundeck and jacuzzi.

Outside, the beautiful garden is planted with fragrant citrus trees, roses, jasmine, and seasonal herbs, all set on a volcanic stone patio from Vesuvius.
